Why go through the workshop

A direct visit, for a precise diagnosis.

Dropping your shears off at the workshop lets us discuss the condition of your blades directly before sharpening: the cutting angle you want, any particular wear, a pair that's already been re-sharpened several times. It's the fastest way to get a tailored diagnosis, without the round trip by post.

Signs it's time to sharpen

• Hair creases or slips out of the blades instead of being cut cleanly.
• You have to force the blades or close them several times to finish a cut.
• An unusual scraping or resistance noise appears while cutting.
• The last sharpening was more than 3 to 6 months of regular professional use ago.
